Black Elderberry-seeds

Black Elderberry "Sambucus canadensis" is our native elderberry that thrives here in ditches and swamps. It is also tolerant of dry conditions as well. Very forgiving.

The fruit can be used in wine making, jellies, syrups, muffins and smoothies. A good substitute for black currents when cooking. Wonderful spring flowers can be used in cordials and great for pollinators.

It is a small-medium shrub and can grow in most garden settings.

Hardy, disease resistant and productive.
