This species is related to the "leek". Sort of between a leek and garlic. The cloves are huge, and the taste is mild. Humungous garlic cloves with a very mild garlic flavour.
Grows best in well drained sandy loam. Hard to come by. Hardy in zones 4 and warmer. Will not thrive in cold clay heavy soils. Thrives with lots of compost in a well-drained sandy mulched spot. A gift from the Garlic Gods!!!
