Canna Lily-seeds

EDIBLE: The leaves and roots of this canna species can be used in different food dishes. It is a tropical plant and is not hardy. We lift the roots at the end of summer and store in our cellar to plant the following spring. Hummingbirds love the flowers. 

Start seeds early in pots and grow with plenty of fertile compost and moisture. Once roots are large enough, they can grow larger in the garden in full sun.
