This plant is very "under-valued". Our strain comes from a very old homestead over 150 years old. It produces outstanding stems for cut flower arrangements, esthetics, medicinal and food applications. The berries are edible. It is a perennial and cut, come again production. You are buying local genetics that perform in zone 4.
Tip: Sow seeds in a very well drained seed starting soil and stratify for 90 days. Grow germinated seedlings on until they are big enough to transplant out into the garden when the soil is warm and the threat of frost is past. The plants will then grow on and take care of themselves.
