Cornus mass-seeds

Cornelian Cherry (Cornus mass) is a small shrub that blooms very early late winter. Lovely in urban settings. The ripe fruit can be made into jams, wine or bottled. Tastes similar to plum.

Zone 5, may be hardier with selections from hardy seedlings.

Scarify seeds and soak overnight. Warm moist for 2-3 months, then cold moist for 2-3 months before sowing out in pots for germination.
