Cactus grow in hot and arid environments therefore sow seeds in a cactus type soilless seed starting mix with lots of drainage. Cover with 1/8th inch soil and water sparingly. Place in a sunny warm window area. Alternating warm and dry spells will help. May take 2-3 months to germinate.
