Cornus kousa chinenis-seeds

Cornus kousa chinenis is a very ornamental species of dogwood. One of the most beautiful trees in the landscape.

A small shrub that blooms very early late winter. Lovely in urban settings. Very large flowers. The ripe fruit can be made into jams or wine and used in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Early large flowers for pollinators, very ornamental all through the year, large edible fruit maybe the size of golf balls.

Zone 5, may be hardier with selections from hardy seedlings. Very disease resistant.

Scarify seeds and soak overnight,  cold moist stratify for 2-3 months before sowing out in pots for germination.
