This chestnut hybrid produces very large edible sweet nuts, improved hardiness and disease resistance. A much bigger tree the nuts are than the Chinese chestnut.
We believe it is an American X cross Chinese Chestnut and that is why the nuts are double the size, the tree is hardier, and disease resistant. Earlier bearing as well.
Grow in deep well drained fertile soils. Nuts must be moist stratified to sprout but are easy to break dormancy.
We have stratified the nuts for you. Harvested fall of 2022.
Very Limited quantity this year.
