Shave off a few leaves for a healthy mix salad or pop into a morning smoothie for all those extra vitamin and cancer enhancing-fighting properties. Tip:  sow seeds in a free draining soil mixture in early spring, plant out transplants when the soil is still cool and moist before hot dry weather advances. Brassica family do not perform well in hot and dry weather. Plan your plantings in early spring or end of summer when the weather is more conducive to the Brassica family species.
