Kiwi-Isaac (2 yr. old vining plant)

 This hardy perennial vine can be found naturally growing in northern Korea, Russia and Japan. This variety has been commercially cultivated for fruit and leaf production. Can be used as a famine food. The sweet fruits are the size of large grapes.

This variety is "self-pollinating". 

Requires very, very well drained soil, do not plant in heavy clay or standing water.

The fruits are high in vitamin C and minerals. The leaves are edible and in Korea are called Darae-sun and consumed as a Namul vegetable. 

In Russia, the fruit is sold in farmers markets as a seasonal fruit called "Kishmish".
